Clemens Troche - VP Intl Mktg & BD Kyphon, Sr Adv Pharmaventures, MD/PhD, MBA
 Dr. Clemens Troche, MD, MBA, MPH has over 15 years of management experience in the reimbursement, marketing and commercialization of medical products in the European markets. He has led numerous multi-million dollar European campaigns from product development to commercialization.
Prior to Extera, Clemens served as the VP International Marketing and Business Development for Kyphon (prior to their acquisition by Medtronic) where he launched three new products and several follow-on products, and was responsible for Kyphon's orthopedic business growth in Europe. Clemens was also a senior consultant with PharmaVentures advising numerous venture-backed and public companies' corporate and commercialization strategies. Prior to PharmaVentures, Clemens held executive positions overseeing European pricing and reimbursement strategies for several leading healthcare companies, including Schwarz Pharma, Bayer, and Boehringer Ingelheim.
Clemens holds a PhD and an MD from the Universities Münster & Heidelberg, an MPH from the Yale School of Public Health, and an Executive MBA from the NIMBAS, Utrecht/NL and University of Bradford/UK.
Jean-Pierre Capdevielle - Exec VP Sofamor Danek, Smith & Nephew, Omrix, Collagen
 Jean-Pierre has nearly 30 years of experience as a senior international executive to medical device and life sciences companies. He has held executive positions managing European and international operations, sales, business development, marketing, service, quality, R&D, and regulatory functions.
Before joining Extera, Jean-Pierre has served as Executive VP for Sofamor Danek (acquired by Medtronic), Senior Director of Continental Europe and Managing Director of German, French and Spanish subsidiaries for Smith & Nephew, Chairman of the Board, Director and President of SpineVision, VP Europe for Omrix Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Johnson & Johnson) and VP and Managing Director of international operations for Collagen Corporation (acquired by Inamed).
Jean-Pierre also consulted to multiple companies in the orthopedics, spine and neurosurgery areas supporting EEC product registration, creating/recruiting and managing of European marketing and sales infrastructures, selecting and recruiting of reference sites and managing post-marketing studies.
Jean-Pierre received his MBA from Hautes Etudes Commerciales, and also completed his studies in the Executive Business Program at Columbia University.
Jörg Ströbel - CEO Ziehm Imaging; Head Biotronik Pacemaker Bus, PhD Univ Erlangen
 Jörg is a management professional with extensive experience in medical equipment business combining scientific and engineering with marketing and sales interrelationships. He has successfully led development, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and service teams for medical imaging and medical device products.
Before, Jörg was the Managing Partner of Ziehm Imaging GmbH where he grew the company to >$80M in global sales establishing Ziehm as the leader in the intra-operative imaging. In his previous role at Biotronik GmbH, Jörg headed the implantable cardiac pacemakers business introducing innovative pacemakers and internal cardiac defibrillators into the European and Eastern markets.
Jörg received his doctorate in physics from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and has been working at the IBM Research Laboratory Rueschlikon (Switzerland) as research fellow. He is also an inventor with several issue patents.
Vincenzo La Bella - Director & Chairman Picker Italy, Siemens Electromedical, Prisma
 Vincenzo has over 20 years experience leading the operations, sales, and marketing activities for several leading European medical device and medical equipment companies.
Before joining Extera, Vincenzo has served as Executive for the Prisma Group, Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Picker Italia Medical Systems (now part of Philips Medical Systems), Sales Manager and Marketing Manager for Siemens AG Electro medical Division. Most recently he has also been directing Sales for Alliance Medical Italy.
Vincenzo earned a graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico Di Milano, with joint studies completed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Vincenzo is a fluent speaker of Italian, English, and German, with proficiency in French and Spanish.
Lothar Koob - GM Worldwide Siemens MRI/Ultrasound, President Zeiss/Humphrey
 Lothar has a proven track record of successfully managing global life science businesses, developing and bringing innovative products to market. He has more than 25 years experience in the medical device, imaging, and instrumentation industries, and has held executive positions managing R&D, operations, sales, marketing, service, quality, and regulatory functions.
Lothar has been involved in multiple cross-border acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and global R&D projects. He has also held several Board positions with leading international companies in Europe and the US. Over his career, Lothar has served as General Manager (GM) of the worldwide Ultrasound and MRI businesses for Siemens Medical Systems, President of the worldwide Ophthalmic Systems business for Zeiss/Humphrey, and Executive Vice President of Analogic Corporation.
He is also an experienced engineer and earned his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Darmstadt in Germany.
Jonathan Reis - VP Coordinated Care Solutions, Co-Founder Protein Forest, Harvard MBA

Jonathan is an experienced life science entrepreneur with a strong executive management and business development track record. Jonathan founded Extera Partners, where he focuses on investment activities as well as partnering, financing, M&A, and corporate strategy efforts for private and public life science companies.
Prior to Extera, Jonathan also founded Cardio Response, Protein Forest, and Gelesis. He was Vice President with Coordinated Care Solutions; and earlier in his career led IBM's healthcare business in Israel.
Jonathan practiced emergency medicine and has published in leading medical journals. He earned his MD from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel and his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
